Pearl Computing is wholly owned by Raiden APAC, which is in turn owned by Google, according to company filings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\"><span class=\"ContentText ContentText_variant_bodyNormal\" data-testid=\"content-text\">The data center project will include construction of a water treatment plant with a capacity of 65 million liters and an off-river storage system.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\"><span class=\"ContentText ContentText_variant_bodyNormal\" data-testid=\"content-text\">Google previously said that it was\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ContentText ContentText_variant_bodyNormal\" data-testid=\"content-text\"><a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.datacenterknowledge.com\/data-center-construction\/google-to-invest-2b-in-malaysia-build-data-center\">investing<\/a><\/span><span class=\"ContentText ContentText_variant_bodyNormal\" data-testid=\"content-text\">\u00a0$2 billion in Malaysia to develop data centers and a cloud facility in the Southeast Asian country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\"><span class=\"ContentText ContentText_variant_bodyNormal\" data-testid=\"content-text\">Last year, Pearl Computing signed a $1.3 billion build-and-lease deal for data centers in Malaysia with a unit of Kuala Lumpur-listed Sime Darby Property.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script defer=\"\" async=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v18.0\" data-ot-ignore=\"true\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Bloomberg) &#8212; Malaysian infrastructure firm Gamuda won a data center contract worth over $237 million from Google\u2019s Malaysian affiliate, according to company filings.
