Acer Predator ORION 3000 Gets the Latest From NVIDIA and Intel; Also Offers Modern Connectivity on a Gorgeous Chassis
Acer has unveiled a bunch of new products at Computex and one of them is the Predator ORION 3000, a desktop PC that is powered by NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070. The Predator ORION 3000 gets the latest Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor that boasts 20 cores for executing intensive tasks, while the RTX 5070 is a 12 GB GPU from the latest NVIDIA Blackwell lineup that offers smooth gameplay with max graphical presets.
The desktop uses a compact yet spacious chassis that accommodates the components easily and allows you to see inside through a large side tempered glass panel. The front panel of the chassis exhibits beautiful RGB lighting effects through a big Predator logo and a mesh that extends from the top to the bottom for good airflow. To ensure the components get enough airflow, the case is equipped with 120mm RGB fans both at the front and rear.
The specs include 8 GB DDR5 memory clocked at 5600 MT/s, but can be expanded to 16 GB or 32 GB based on your needs. For storage, it comes with a 2 TB NVMe PCI-E 4.0 SSD by default, but users can have another 2 TB hard drive for additional storage needs. As for the motherboard, it’s not clear from the provided spec sheet whether Acer has used a custom design or a motherboard from popular vendors, but it lists its I/O connectivity ports, which indicates a custom design to fit the chassis easily.
These ports are 4x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.2, 1x LAN port, and 3x Audio jacks. There doesn’t seem to be a Type C port or a display output port at the back, but users can access one Type C Gen 2×2 port at the front panel. Moreover, there are two more USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports at the front for convenient connectivity. Wireless connectivity includes either WiFi 6E or WiFi 7, but there is no mention of Bluetooth.
All of this is powered by an 850W power supply, which we assume is at least 80 Plus rated and is more than enough to handle whatever the Predator ORION 3000 comes with. If users want to upgrade later, this should be enough, and users can utilize the leftover slots/ports such as PCI-E 3.0 x1, 2x M.2 slot for SSD, and 1x M.2 slot for WLAN.
The Acer Predator ORION 3000 is priced at €1,099 for the base configuration, which includes 8 GB DDR5 RAM and 2 TB M.2 SSD, while the rest of the components remain the same. It will be available in the EMEA region in July and in Q3 in Australia for AUD 4,499.
